Minimize maintenance time and improve vessel performance.
Start by creating a basic tree structure that reflects the layout and organization of your vessel. This is very easy to do and accomplished in the initial consultation included in membership. This structure then contains all of the elements of your vessel to enable quick access by keyword or tree searching. Basic location information might be interior, exterior, foredeck, cockpit, salon, engine room, etc.
Once this tree structure is created you can begin to add the numerous systems and resources on the vessel. However, you do not complete this setup in order to use the passage planning or crew management functions of the application. NAVOPLAN was designed to allow you to setup and/or configure the vessel over time--perhaps as you complete maintenance. Of course, you can set everything up front for maximum use of the system.
Some of the functions in the module include: maintenance tracking, resource management (parts, supplies, tools) and vendor functions such as pricing requests and work orders. Should you not need to use of this functionality, or wish to implement at a later date, you can enable or disable as you wish.
Lastly, utilizing NAVOPLAN's documentation and check list functionality makes it very easy to find manuals, specifications, drawings, images or any other document stored online. This reduces space on the boat and enables quick access. Check lists can be easily created to outline steps for routine maintenance functions to ensure all steps are completed every time.
