Utilizing one of the many route planning tools that integrate current weather forecasts genreate a GPX file which includes periodic waypoints. NAVOPLAN works with standard GPX files that include anticipated arrival and departure times, waypoints, rate, wind direction, distance between waypoints and wind parameters. With this data the port and country of arrival and destinations are determined.
When a passage is created the captain, first mate and crew members are added. Changes may be made to add or remove crew membres.
The first and last waypoint of the planned passage are used to determine the country of departure and arrival. Documentation may be identified based on these country (with outside resources) and assigned to the passage. NAVOPLAN also review documentation requirements for crew member and provides functionality to assign new documents and communicate deadlines to acquire before passage.
Every float plan is generated on-demand based on most current information. An initial float plan is generated for distribution including information categories vessel identification, propulsion, communication, navigation equipment, safety equipment, crew and guests, safety and survival equipment, visual distress signals, audible distress signals, emergency rations, trip data, planned route, actual track data accrued and one or more vessel images.
Commercial airline pilots never leave the ground without reviewing their checklists. NAVOPLAN provides easy-to-use checklists for every phase of a passage. Checklists are also available for crew change transitions and period vessel inspections. For vessels that records engine room temperatures a temperature worksheet with gauges can be used to monitor engine room performance.
