Vessel Location
Each vessel has a blog page where they can make entries to share with their friends and family. The blog site also has a page for the vessel to show current status and location with a map.
Blog Entries
Vessel crew can add blob entries to share highlights or a passage or activites while in port. Each blog entry can have an accompanying picture or video.
EAC Events
Should an unplanned event occur and Emergency Assistance Coordination services are activitated the blog page is replaced with a similar communication page. This allows NAVOPLAN to direct interested parties to this page for known information, requests for help and a forum with interested parties to share information. Often a vessel may just need assistance from resources. Using this page would help in communicating the vessels needs, locating a vessel headed in their direcion and providing assistance.
