Plan, Monitor, and Communicate Your Passage with NAVOPLAN
Upload your GPX route to start planning your passage, and monitor detailed data such as fuel usage, distance, and schedule. NAVOPLAN tracks your progress and alerts us to any delays in reaching waypoints or your final destination. In case of a critical incident, such as a man overboard, medical emergency, vessel failure, or general vessel status update, NAVOPLAN allows you to communicate your need within the system. Occasionally, NAVOPLAN might even prompt you to confirm that everything is okay if you are solo or short on crew.
Phased Checklists help ensure that all necessary tasks are completed at each stage of the journey. Similar to airline pilot checklists, NAVOPLAN helps you avoid forgetting crucial items that could become major issues once you're away from dock or shore. Checklist phases include pre-planning, departure, underway, arrival, watch changes, and periodic vessel inspections. The WATCH CHECKLIST helps maintain effective watch changes and high safety standards throughout the passage. It even includes a temperature worksheet for motor vessels that regularly check equipment temperatures.
NAVOPLAN continuously updates your FLOAT PLAN with the most current information available. Starting with the GPX upload, data is refined throughout the passage. The communication system notifies NAVOPLAN if you miss a waypoint or arrive late, triggering the NAVOPLAN Readiness Clock. Depending on the service level, this clock allows NAVOPLAN to prepare resources for potential assistance. Once the countdown clock expires, Emergency Assistance Coordination begins.
